OVERVIEW

NGX Power Auctions are auctions for electricity contracts conducted separately from NGX's continuous power markets. The NGX Power Auction System held its first auction in February 2006. Since then NGX has conducted over fifty power auctions, both bilateral and cleared. This includes auctions for the Ontario Power Authority, Enmax, EPCOR, as well as NGX's own cleared Ontario power auctions.
