NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTING PARTIES
Re: Daily Spot Gas Price at AECO C & Nova Inventory Transfer

NGX has received numerous requests from market participants for changes to the methodology from which the "Weekend#", "Fri&Wkd#" and the monthly averages are produced for the "Daily Spot Gas Price at AECO C & Nova Inventory Transfer" table published on page 2 of the Canadian Gas Price Reporter.

Market participants have requested that NGX/Enerdata improve these indices by simplifying the data included and by making the calculations consistent with industry trading practices for weekends and holidays.

Effective March 1, 2002, the following changes will occur in the "Daily Spot Gas Price at AECO C & Nova Inventory Transfer" table:

1. Replace the price source data for the "Weekend#" rows with only data from trades in the NGX "W" instrument (ie. Fri-Sat-Sun). If a Canadian statutory holiday falls on a Monday, then trades from the "W4" instrument (ie. Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon) will be used to represent the "Weekend#" in the table.
2. Eliminate the "Fri&Wkd#" rows.
3. Use the "Weekend#" instrument rows (from proposal #1 above) as a proxy for Saturday and Sunday in index 4. and 4a.
4. Use the "Weekend#" instrument rows (from proposal #1 above) as a proxy for Friday,Saturday and Sunday in index 5. and 5a.
5. Prior to any Canadian or U.S. statutory holiday, NGX will survey the marketplace and NGX/Enerdata will publish a methodology as to how the respective holiday will be treated in the "Daily Spot Gas Price at AECO C & Nova Inventory Transfer" table.
