MARKET AGENCY

At any time during the trading hours, seven days a week, any authorized trader may call NGX Help Desk at (403) 974-4357(HELP) to conduct a trade for them. After receiving a call:
  1. The NGX Market Operator logs on to the NGX Trading System using the ID and password supplied by an authorized trader. A client will not be logged on without providing the password.

  2. The trader verbally instructs the operator input an order. All limits or instrument restrictions will still be in effect.

  3. The NGX Market Operator confirms the order with the client over a recorded telephone line, before releasing it into the market.

  4. The order and/or trade confirmation message that appears after release will also be read to the client over a recorded telephone line.

  5. Each trade consummated through market agency has a unique identifier on NGX trading reports.

Market agency is one of several ways for an NGX client to trade natural gas without being required to go into the office. NGX also provides the ability to logon to the NGX Trading System from any desktop PC or laptop with the appropriate software installed.
